Answers to the most common questions from organizers and speakers.
Browse our speaker roster at ishruti.org/speakers, find someone who fits your event, and click 'Request to Book.' We'll match you with the speaker, facilitate an intro call, and handle the booking logistics from there.
All payments are processed securely via Stripe. We collect the speaker fee upfront and hold it in escrow until the event is completed. The speaker receives their fee (minus our 17.5% commission) within 5 business days of event completion.
We charge a transparent 17.5% platform fee on all bookings. This fee is displayed clearly on every quote. There are no hidden markups, no pay-to-play placement, and no surprise charges.
Cancellation terms are outlined in the booking agreement and vary by notice period. Standard terms: full refund if cancelled 60+ days before event; 50% refund 30–60 days; no refund under 30 days. We work with both parties to find solutions in unusual circumstances.
Speaker cancellations are rare and taken seriously. Our speaker agreements include cancellation clauses. If a speaker cancels, we will help you find a comparable replacement at no additional fee. If no suitable replacement is found, you receive a full refund.
Yes. Speaker profiles on iShruti include demo reel links. You can also request additional recordings or speaking samples via our messaging system.
Tier 1 speakers typically book 6–12 months in advance, especially around conference seasons (Q1 and Q4). For peak seasons, start your search 9+ months out. We can sometimes accommodate 4–6 week timelines but it limits your options.
Yes. Most speakers on iShruti offer virtual and hybrid formats. Some have premium virtual production studios; others present from their home offices. Check speaker profiles for format preferences and capabilities.
Apply at ishruti.org/apply. We review applications within 5 business days. Our review looks at practitioner credentials, content quality, presentation skills (via recordings), and audience reviews. We do not accept pay-to-play applications.
Speakers receive payouts via Stripe Connect within 5 business days of event completion. You'll set up your payout account during onboarding. iShruti retains 17.5% of the agreed speaker fee.
Yes. iShruti is non-exclusive. You can work with other bureaus, accept direct bookings, and manage your own speaking engagements. We only ask that bookings originating from iShruti be completed through our platform.
List your actual market rate. We display fee ranges (minimum and maximum) transparently. Artificially inflated fees reduce your booking conversion rate. If you're uncertain about your market rate, contact us — we can help you benchmark.
Log in and visit your Speaker Dashboard. You can update your bio, topics, fee range, availability, and media files at any time. Profile changes are reviewed before going live to maintain quality standards.

Our onboarding wizard takes 15–20 minutes to complete. After that, our team reviews your profile within 3–5 business days. You'll receive an email when your profile is approved and live.
iShruti was founded by Brijesh Patel, a serial entrepreneur based in Greenwood, Indiana. The name 'Shruti' comes from the Sanskrit concept of sacred knowledge transmitted through speech — an ancient idea with an AI-era application.
Legacy speaker bureaus are still selling 2010s innovation speakers to organizations that need 2026 AI expertise. We built iShruti from Day 1 for what enterprises actually need: AI futurists, workplace psychologists, sector AI specialists, and diverse voices who reflect the global nature of AI's impact.
17.5% of the speaker fee. Displayed transparently on every quote. No hidden fees, no pay-to-play placement. Speakers receive their full quoted fee; our commission comes out of the total booking amount.

Stripe Connect is the payment infrastructure that allows iShruti to receive booking payments and automatically split them between iShruti and speakers. During speaker onboarding, you complete a Stripe identity verification process and connect your bank account. Payouts are automatic after each completed event.
All user data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) on AWS US-East-1 servers. Media files are stored in Cloudinary. We do not sell your data. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
